We brought the road trip experience to life in this work space through supersized graphics, interactive art, and tactile sculpture and signage. We created a cross country road trip and mapped out iconic destinations that can be found on the open road and experienced all right here in Boulder, CO.
Vintage bumpers and adventure polaroid walls allow for employees to engage and share their interstate adventures. The ADA signage throughout the space is inspired by different types of road signage and even uses authentic reflective materials to feel like we brought them directly from the highway into the space.
Naming the different amenity spaces was a great challenge and through the research process it was fun to find real points of interest that some of us had been to and others that we couldn’t wait to go explore on our own road trips.
At 2600 Pearl Street, the space was getting a refresh with a road trip theme that coincided with my family taking a 1000 mile Colorado Roadtrip. I collected some stickers and took some photos on the trip that we incorporated into the final delivered art pieces. It felt good to add that level of authenticity and personality to work in what is technically a corporate environment.
